Wheatgrass – Full Of Minerals

Nutrients are environmental substances used for energy, growth, and bodily functions by organisms. Wheatgrass is an excellent source of various nutrients needed by our bodies.

 

Wheatgrass contains about 70% chlorophyll, 17 amino acids, 97 enzymes, vitamins & phytochemicals. It contains over 90 minerals some of which are:

Iron – required to make hemoglobin, a protein that helps your red blood cells carry oxygen. Without enough oxygen in your blood, you may feel tired, weak, and short of breath.

Magnesium – which is important for normal bone structure in the body. It helps build enzymes that restore sex hormones, treats constipation and improves digestion and helps to ease cramps. It helps oxygenate blood and keep energy levels high.

Potassium – helps muscles contract, helps regulate fluids in and out of body cells and helps maintain normal blood pressure.

Calcium – for building bones and keeping them healthy, it enables our blood to clot, our muscles to contract, and our hearts to beat.

Phosphorus – is primarily used for growth and repair of body cells and tissues 

Zinc – helps keep your immune system strong. It stimulates particular immune cells and reduces oxidative stress.

Sodium – a necessary nutrient for good health. It’s one of your body’s electrolytes that create electrically charged ions. Table salt is made up of 40% sodium, the maximum recommendation is 2300 mg of sodium per day.

Selenium – assists in the body with metabolism and thyroid function. It is also an anti-oxidant and it may boost the immune system, slow age-related mental decline and even reduce the risk of heart disease.

The above and more all present in wheatgrass in at least trace amounts.
